Self Portrait: Green IS My Colour vs. Happy Bday Ron!

Dear friends,

If it is Saturday it is Self Portrait day :)
Following my beloved fellow blogger - adorable Bonnie Rose - I am doing my second post on Self Portraits. Even though I am not even close enough to her style and her pictures, I will still try - just check this picture out, I am not able to do a picture of myself without looking with and eye through the camera... well... also because I do not own a remote control for my camera (I DO have a trapied though!) and running back and forward to set the timer just pisses me off terribly!

Anyway, as you know by now or might have figured out from this picture, I adore the grren color and this is one of the first pictures I tried to modify this year - the picture was taken in January around the beginning of the month, when I said I should try something new the next year: enhancing pictures and learining more about light and filters... eh! my first try-out was this autoportret :) (you can see my baby Canon from my awesome fiancee)

So... please join us in our Self Portrait Saturday :) All you need to do is post a... post :) with your picture and share some thoughts/musings over it. It does not have to be a picture from today - not even a recent one, hey! mine is from more than 8 months ago! - but it has to be your picture, taken by you :) So... enjoy! take the camera/iphone/mobile phone and snap one or browse wildly through your pictures (like I did!) until you will find something fitting :p

I could not finish this post without saying "Happy Red-Haired Birthday Rupert!!!" :)
For all those who did not read/watch the Harry Potter series written by the awesome J.K.Rowling - who are you and where did you live until now?! under which rock were you hiding?! - today is Rupert Grint's birthday.
Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint (born 24 August 1988) is an English actor who rose to prominence playing Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the Harry Potter film series. Grint was cast as Ron Weasley at the age of 11, having previously acted only in school plays and at his local theatre group. From 2001 to 2011, he starred in all eight Harry Potter films alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.
What can I say?! This red-haired lad grew under my eyes and I grew with him - heck we are almost the same age! And who did not wish - from the girls - that they were Hermione?! Come on! She is the coolest of the trio! And Ron is the heart <3 He is an amazing actor that grew out of his "Ron" play - which says a lot! It is hard to make the world see you as anything else than what you acted for more than 10 years of your life! Rowling and the people who were looking for the cast did an AWESOME job in finding the right characters - while I was reading Harry Potter I could not imagine anyone elsewho could fill his shoes :)
So... let us have again a look at the then and now pictures (sigh!) and see how you can mature awesomely and kick arse while being an adorable red-haired lad ;)

Yours truly,
The huge HP fan :) The LadyBug :p
