Musical Friday: Let It Go

Dear friends,

Today I am proud to present a song related to my post previously today ;))) I have showed you my opinion and my love of the Disney movie, "Frozen" and right now I will share with you my fav soundtrack song from it. The song "Let it Go" is a song from Disney's animated movie Frozen. After having her icy powers exposed to the kingdom, queen Elsa (Idina Menzel - you might or might not know her from the awesome grown-up type of musical named "Rent") isolates herself from the people, including her sister Anna. Now alone on the North Mountain, she relishes in no longer having to hold back her powers, singing of freedom as she crafts for herself a palace of flawless ice - letting herself go as she thinks that there she cannot hurt anyone and she can be truly free...
Let It Go - Idina Menzel (Elsa)

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I'm the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn't keep it in, Heaven knows I tried.
Don't let them in, don't let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal don't feel, don't let them know.
Well, now they know!
Let it go, let it go.
Can't hold it back anymore.
Let it go, let it go.
Turn away and slam the door.
I don't care what they're going to say.
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway.
It's funny how some distance,
makes everything seem small.
And the fears that once controlled me, can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do,
to test the limits and break through.
No right, no wrong, no rules for me.
I am free!
Let it go, let it go.
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go, let it go.
You'll never see me cry.
Here I stand, and here I'll stay.
Let the storm rage on.
My power flurries through the air into the ground.
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back; the past is in the past!
Let it go, let it go.
And I'll rise like the break of dawn.
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand, in the light of day.
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway...
 Yours truly,
The "Frozen" & Disney Fan - The LadyBug :)

The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway...

Dear friends,

**WARNING!!! This post contains a review of Frozen and also some trivia regarding it (a big Thank You! goes to IMDB ;) my reliable source when it comes to movies data). It will be an extensive post and it will have loads of pictures and text so please grab yourself a cup of tea and a warm blanket and Enjoy!**
As you may have figured out by now, I have managed to see Frozen :) I think I am hearing a crowd of approvals from back here and I am happy for it ;) now for those who have seen this movie this post may be redundant but for all the other friends I have and yet not seen this latest Disney beauty it may come as a help. Please be aware that I will keep nothing away from you and there will be SPOILERS! So you can either stop now and check out other posts I have done until now or come later on for the Musical Friday usual post, or you may stay and enjoy the trivia and hear me rant about this heart warming animation done by Disney ;)
The French Poster showing as "The Snow Queen"
Producer Peter Del Vecho explained the English title change from "The Snow Queen" to "Frozen": "The title Frozen (2013) came up independently of the title Tangled (2010). It's because, to us, it represents the movie. Frozen plays on the level of ice and snow but also the frozen relationship, the frozen heart that has to be thawed. We don't think of comparisons between Tangled and Frozen, though. The decision to call the film Frozen was the filmmaker's decision. The studio's decision to then call it the Snow Queen overseas was because that just resonated stronger in some countries than Frozen. Maybe there's a richness to the Snow Queen in the country's heritage and they just wanted to emphasize that." As he continued to make his statement, "We're telling a story about family and relationships and that in itself can be very complicated. A lot of times what you perceive something to be isn't what it turns out to be - Elsa has to hide for her whole life who she is, even from her sister. That clearly affected her and made her into the character she is. Hopefully, if you look at the story through Elsa's eyes, you'll be able to understand what she does, or if you look at it through Anna's eyes, you'll be able to understand why she does what she does, but they're all complicated relationships. We don't think of it as a Princess movie. They happen to be Princesses, but we don't think about it that way, so I always get a bit thrown when people talk about this. But I can say we want to make them really believable and not set them up on a pedestal. Our version of these characters should feel really real and be relatable to things you might go through in your life."
The characters of Anna, Hans, and Kristof are all named after Hans Christian Andersen: Prince Hans as in Hans, (Krist)of as in (Christ)ian, and (An)na as in (An)dersen.
Idina Menzel said Frozen (2013) is "a bit of a feminist movie for Disney." "I'm really proud of that," Menzel tells Zap2it. "It has everything, but it's essentially about sisterhood. I think that these two women are competitive with one another, but always trying to protect each other - sisters are just so complicated. It's such a great relationship to have in movies, especially for young kids." Kristen Bell said on a similar matter: "I'm really excited to show it to people. I became a part of the kind of movie I wanted to see as a kid," she said. "I always loved Disney animation, but there was something about the females that was unattainable to me. Their posture was too good and they were too well-spoken, and I feel like I really made this girl [Princess Anna] much more relatable and weirder and scrappier and more excitable and awkward. I'm really proud of that."
Elsa is the third Disney vocal role for Idina Menzel. At the end of Enchanted (2007), her character Nancy Tremaine went to the animated Andalasia and married Prince Edward, and in the Disney television series of Hercules (1998), she is the speaking and singing voice of the sorceress Circe.  Idina Menzel auditioned for the part of Rapunzel in Disney's previous fairytale, Tangled (2010). Even though Menzel didn't get the part, a Disney casting director recorded her audition and two years later, it got her the part of Elsa.
Originally, Queen Elsa was intended to be the villain of the story. However, when the character's major song, "Let it Go," was played for the producers, they concluded that the song was not only very appealing, but its themes of personal empowerment and self-acceptance were too positive for a villain to express. Thus, the story was rewritten to have Elsa as an isolated innocent who is alarmed upon learning that her powers are inadvertently causing harm and struggles to control her powers with Anna's help.
Anna and Elsa are the 2 Princesses of the kingdom and they are best friends with eachother. Elsa is the older one, more serious and mature, and Anna is the younger one, all giggles and songs and laughter. The movie starts with Anna jumping on Elsa's bed and making her come out to the ballroom where one of the most beautiful songs start: "Do you wanna build a snowman". We soon learn that Elsa is gifted and that she was born with special powers - powers that unfortunately she cannot control. She has icy powers that allow her to freeze things and make snow appear. While playing with Anna she accidentaly strikes her in her head with her frost and Anna gets a white stroke of hair for always. But she does not recover so her parents take her and her sister to the mountain trolls that cure her and say she was lucky she did not get hit in her heart as the heart cannot be turned back as easily... they erase all the memories of Elsa doing magic for Anna but they leave in all the fun ;) and they give special gloves to Elsa to keep her magic under control. Time passes by and Elsa shuts herself out from the world and her sister, trying to control her powers but to no avail... Unfortunately their parents die and the girls are left all alone. Fast forward 3 years later when Elsa comes of age and she needs to take power into her own hands and open the palace doors for the world to come...
For Anna this is a magical time as she has never seen a ball and she could not remember when she ever saw the castle doors open... I love her scene in the ballroom and the drawing room where she dances and twirls and jumps fitting the lovely paintings on the wall ;)) For Elsa it is a dreaded time as she still cannot control herself and she knows she will have to take the gloves off in order to receive the symbols of power. But all goes well until the party after the coronation. Anna foolishly falls in love at first sight and presents her "future husband" to Elsa. Elsa is in enough stress with all these people around and keeping her panic to a minimum so she cannot believe what Anna just said and refuses to give her consent. They both start argueing and as we could expect this end up bad... Anna takes one of her gloves and from there on all Hell breaks loose and the kingdom is slowly transformed into an Ice Kingdom and their beloved fiord is frozen...
I sincerly love the "Let It Go" song that Elsa is singing once she is free, out on the mountain - The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway... And let's face it, Elsa is quite a kick arse architect. She builds in an instant the most beautiful ice castle you ever seen and she transforms like a ice-phoenix all hair down and winter white dress... She has the power and she has a strong will and she wishes not to hurt anyone! Especially her baby sister. But guess what!? Anna is a strong willed Princess as well so she leaves Hans in charge of the kingdom - yes, her newly discovered fiance... Lack of judgement if you ask me! - and rides off to talk to her sister and prove people wrong, that she is not a monster. With help from her new friends - Kai, Kai's Raindeer (whose name escapes me here...) and Olaf (the most adorable snowman you will ever see, made by Elsa) - she manages to find her sister in the North Mountain and confront her. Well... that worked out well! NOT! While discussing/fighting Elsa hits by mistake Anna and this time in her heart...
Long story short, Anna is dying and only true love can save her - according to the adorable trolls that saved her the first time. So Kai rushes out to the castle so Anna could get in time to Hans to have a true loves kiss that would cure her... Well SURPRISE!!! Hans wishes both girls dead so he would have the kingdom to himself so he leaves Anna to die, locked in a cold room, and goes to kill Elsa as well... But change of events, Olaf rescues Anna and helps her out of the castle so she could meet Kai and save herself - Kai is the one she loves, Kai put her needs above himselfs and Kai got into her heart step by step not just during one night at a party! And I sincerly love this turn of events. I love that Disney is showing that not the first person you lay your eyes upon is your true love or that you need to marry the first person you set eyes on. I love that both Anna and Elsa are 2 strong Princesses that make up their own minds and destinies. Anna sees Hans trying to kill Elsa and she makes up her mind upon sacrificing her own love/life/freedom in exchange of her sister. She puts herself between Hans and Elsa in the exact moment when she gets transformed into an ice statue and breaks Hans sword. Now don't worry :) Disney stories always have a happy ending and I did tell you that true love will save our adorable Anna ;) Anna's true love for Elsa and her sacrifice makes her turn human again so the 2 sisters reunite and Elsa learns how to control her powers through love :)
For the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?", three different actresses respectively provided the singing voice of Anna: Katie Lopez as Young Anna, Agatha Lee Monn as Teenage Anna, and Kristen Bell as Anna. Agatha is the daughter of the film's writer/director Jennifer Lee and Katie is the daughter of its songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. In fact, Katie and her sister, Annie, sang the film's deleted song, "Spring Pageant", along with their parents. The song can be found on the film's two-disc Deluxe Edition Motion Picture Soundtrack.
The two snowmen, Olaf and Marshmallow, represent Elsa's personalities when she made them. Olaf, who was built by Elsa when she played with Anna as a little girl, is friendly and affectionate. While Marshmallow, who was made by Elsa when she wanted Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf to leave her castle and never return, was rough and fierce. At one point in the production, the giant Snow Monster that Elsa creates was actually a giant Olaf, and Olaf addressed him as "little brother". Studio thought it was cute and kind of funny, but ultimately looked a bit dumb. Scenes like the siege of the ice castle would've been pretty strange had they gone this route.
Upon winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, Frozen (2013) became the first full-length Disney (non-Pixar) animated feature film to win the award for the category after the studio was nominated four times before. Frozen is also the first Disney animated feature film to win a Golden Globe since Tarzan (1999), also directed by Chris Buck.
And remember everyone: Only true love can thaw a frozen heart. So never give up loving! :*

Yours truly,
A LadyBug that truly enjoyed Frozen and she is sure to be watching this again and showing to her future children, one glorious winter day :)

Keep It Clean For The Queen

Dear friends,

Somewhere in June 2012 I had the pleasure of being invited by a my best friend Magda to go with her to London. I had never been to London and it was truly one of my dreams to get there :) And frankly speaking my plan was to get some experience in IT here in Krakow, Poland, and after 6 months move to the UK... the unexpected happened and I met the man of my life and this past December we had the civil wedding :) I do not regret a thing and I am happy I could go with Magda to London for a short 5 day trip. By mistake/chance we bumped into one of the most busy/crowded moments in history: The Queen's Diamond Jubilee :)
The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was a multinational celebration throughout 2012 marking the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II on 6 February 1952. She is today queen regnant of 16 sovereign states, known as Commonwealth realms, including the United Kingdom. Queen Victoria, Elizabeth's great-great-grandmother, is the only other monarch in the histories of the realms to have celebrated a Diamond Jubilee, which she did in 1897.
One of the things I truly love about Brits is the food! :p I know... I am so shallow, I could say I love their culture (which I do) but I can't help myself... When I was a wee lass my teacher taught me about the fish and chips, about the mutton pie, about the Christmas pudding, about the lamb stew and the typical English breakfast so that got stuck to my head! And I always wanted to eat that, if possible in London :) A little girl is allowed to dream big, and when dreams come true... Oh! The Happiness!!! :)
The first English Breakfast I had was indeed in London, in the city center, and it was exactly as I imagined it: beans, sausage, mushrooms, bacon and fried egg. Magda had coffee and I had a cute fruit juice with an adorable cap that I just had to pose with. It said: Feel Good Recycle :) With a breakfast like that even if the weather is not perfect you cannot be grumpy as you have your tummy full.
When I am in trouble, eating is the only thing that consoles me. Indeed, when I am in really great trouble, as any one who knows me intimately will tell you, I refuse everything except food and drink”.
Algernon Moncrieff, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Act 2
I truly never had for lunch the fish and chips wrapped in newspaper - as this is the tradition. But I did have hamburger and chips - and when I say chips I mean fries for my American friends out there ;) I also did have mince pie which was hot and made me warm from the inside out on a chilly and rainy day - our last day there actually, it was like London did not want me to go away...
A man who can dominate a London dinner-table can dominate the world.
Lord Illingworth, Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance, Act 3 (1893)
When I was going to London one of my and Magda's good friends recommended us a place he ALWAYS goes to when in the UK - and he is a pretty frequent flyer to London ;) - and the place is named Pret-A-Manger. Pret is a food chain established in the UK, opened in the lovely year of 1986 - yup! that's right! the year I was born! I think they were actually celebrating my birth ;)
Here is a bit from their adorable site:
"College friends, Sinclair and Julian, made proper sandwiches avoiding the obscure chemicals, additives and preservatives common to so much of the 'prepared' and 'fast' food on the market today. The two of them had woefully little experience in the world of business. They created the sort of food they craved but couldn't find anywhere else. Because Pret is private we don't face the same pressure to grow that a public company does. We will develop slowly, one shop at a time. There are about 335 Pret shops worldwide at the moment. Most of them are in the UK and between them we turn over roughly 450 million pounds a year"
I love the fact that they don't franchise and they want to keep this shop exclusive :) I also like how free and casual and careless the shops they have look like. Squeaky clean and very inviting. The people who work there are young and open and communicative and read to answer your needs and help you choose the best goodies/yum-yums for your hungry/thirsty tummy. You also have free wifi so all you need to do is get yourself coffee/tea/juice and a sandwich and relax - maybe even write a blog post, why not?! ;)
Now they even have this trendy option of ordering the food online and they can drop by your door and bring you the stuff if you are too lazy to have a walk... Their main centers are in UK - of course! - and Hong Kong & France. Though now that I come and think of it I cannot remember seeing a Pret shop in France :/ maybe I was not paying enough attention as back then I did not know about this magical place...
My personal fav sandwiches are the egg and crest ones and even the thought of them makes my mouth water. I really need to get to London again! Queen's Diamond Jubilee was a rush and it was fun and it was crazy but I guess I wished I would have liked to see London not all in a fuss... But I really loved though the decorations and the parades and the concerts and the smile on peoples faces :) I loved even the small signes like the one Pret-A-Manger had: "Keep It Clean For The Queen" - I could see how everyone was doing their best to please her, even if she would never see what they have done for her... The love for the Royals is strong and to have 60 years of being on the throne and still being strong that really shows the world something, does it not?! :)

** I made this post out of love for London and for the great food I tried there :) I received nothing in return from anyone but nonetheless I did it with all my heart and I hope that one day you guys shall try it and tell me how you liked it ;) **

Yours truly,
The LadyBug that loves English food and agrees that Pret-A-Manger is the best sandwich place in town :)

I Am The Soldier Of Revolution!

Dear friends,

When I was a wee lass I would believe that I have magical powers and that I am undestructible just like the beautiful Sailors from the manga Sailor Moon.It was a harmless dream that I shared with my sister and my aunt - as we all 3 used to play together and watch Sailor Moon day and night... We were never the main 5 Sailors. We did not think they fitted our personalities... although at the beginning I was very much into Sailor Venus - who looked very much alike Sailor Moon! We agreed that we were more under the 2nd story arc and that we were Sailor Neptune - my aunt, Sailor Uranus - my sister (who even had her haircut, back then!) and Sailor Pluto - me! :)
Sailor Pluto is a fictional lead character in the Sailor Moon media franchise, created by Naoko Takeuchi. The alternate identity of Setsuna Meioh (冥王 せつな Meiō Setsuna, or Trista Meioh in the English adaptations), a college student, she belongs to the "Sailor Senshi", female supernatural fighters who the franchise's main girl characters transform into to fulfill their duty of protecting the Solar System and the franchise's eponymous protagonist from evil. Sailor Pluto is not introduced until late in the Sailor Moon R series. She is the soldier who guards the gates of time. She is first seen contacting Chibiusa through Luna-P. Sailor Pluto refers to Chibiusa as "Small Lady." Chibiusa usually calls Sailor Pluto by the nickname "Puu" (subtitled as "Plu" in the S season subs). She acts as Chibiusa's guardian.
After the events of the second story arc, she leaves the gates of time to temporarily live as a human being, joins the rest of the Outer Senshi, and becomes a university student studying physics. The exact nature of how she leaves her post differs between versions; in the manga, she is reincarnated in present day by Neo-Queen Serenity after sacrificing herself during the second arc, while in the anime Neo-Queen Serenity allows her to leave. Even in her civilian form, Setsuna is the oldest of the Sailor Team, around her late teens or older. Her personality has been described as distant and somewhat lonely, however she does consistently display warmth and affection for Chibiusa. When she reincarnates, she becomes more friendly, but is still not very emotional, although there are moments in the manga where she expresses much more emotion than the anime. She later cares for Hotaru along with Michiru and Haruka.
Unlike the other Senshi, it is questioned whether she is fully human—she has been described as "a goddess, eternally guarding the Portal of Space and Time". She was born under the sun sign Scorpio, the equivalent for Pluto. (GUESS WHAT?! I did not choose my Sailor but it appears that the right Sailor choose me, as I am a sign Scorpio ;) )
Sailor Pluto's precise abilities and knowledge of the past and present are only vaguely defined, although a common theory is a form of omniscience, possibly due to her portrayal in the anime. For example, she was presumably aware of the two sailor soldiers carrying the mystical objects they were hunting for, but did not inform them and allowed various people to be attacked. (This differs greatly from the manga, and may be a simple continuity error.) This omniscience is represented as being able to watch through the gates of time, and such. Sailor Pluto appears in just a few TV episodes. Unlike Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus, she is sympathetic toward the Guardian Senshi, and assists them on several occasions. During the second story arc, she allows them to travel through time even though this is not ordinarily allowed. In the third story arc, she often extends help or advice to Sailor Moon and her companions even when Sailors Uranus and Neptune want the two groups separate. Later, Setsuna joins the Guardian Senshi in investigating the true identity of ChibiChibi. In the manga, she is an inspiration to Ami, and her relationship with Ami gives Sailor Mercury additional strength to power-up to her Super form.
Sailor Pluto has additional, less cited influences and spheres of dominion in her manga incarnation, influences that are vaguely suggested in the anime, but never made explicit. Sailor Pluto is much darker in her initial form in the manga, identified as the "Guardian of the Underworld" with very dark skin and a black sailor uniform. She is also stated to be the daughter of Chronos, god of time. She is a ruthless soldier who follows rather exacting laws, executing any intruders who dare violate the underworld in search for the Gates of Time. She nearly kills Sailor Moon before realizing who she is, stating that "all who break the taboo must be eliminated". Luna also states to the others that no one is to even know that she (Sailor Pluto) exists, due to her dominion and nature, and that to her knowledge no one has ever seen her. Luna calls her a "lone warrior," noting the sadness in her eyes.
In the manga, Pluto's death scene vaguely implies a romantic interest in Endymion, though this is never explored again. In the Sailor Moon musicals, Sailor Pluto has an unrequited love for King Endymion. It is explicitly mentioned in Eien Denetsu and Shin - Densetsu Kourin, in the song Onna no Ronsou ("Woman's Conflicts"). In the manga, it can only be inferred from depictions of Pluto blushing while around King Endymion, her reaction when he runs to comfort her during her death and in artwork depicting Neo-Queen Serenity, Pluto, and King Endymion. Various situations in the musicals have shown Pluto's unrequited love; for example, Tuxedo Mask's actor, Yuuta Mochizuki being leaned on by the actress of Sailor Pluto, Rei Saitou, and commenting on his new year's resolution: to be by Pluto's side.
A small quirk occurs in continuity between the manga and anime. Sailor Pluto (temporarily) expires in both, but at different times; her death in the manga occurs much earlier and reawakens the good side of the possessed Chibiusa. However, for all intents and purposes, in the manga the technicality of Sailor Pluto existing outside of time means she is able to be reincarnated as a normal woman while still existing back at her post at the Time Gate. Even in her civilian form, she is depicted as older and more sophisticated than the other Sailor Senshi characters.
Well you can bump and grind
If it's good for your mind
Well you can twist and shout
Let it all hang out

But you won't fool the Children of the Revolution
No you won't fool the Children of the Revolution
No, no...
Moulin Rouge Soundtrack - Children Of The Revolution lyrics :)
Sailor Pluto: Guarded by Pluto, planet of time. I am the soldier of revolution, Sailor Pluto!
I always loved Sailor Pluto - with her straight stature and long dark green hair flowing... She was strong and silent and powerful and unique at the same time. She loved children and she gave up her life in order to save others. She was quite a revolutionary and she had this beautiful power that I wished I would have - sometimes now I wish I had it too, who am I kidding?! - The Power Over Time! She was in some way misunderstood and somehow cast aside by the other Sailors and partially by herself - and I could relate to that when I was smaller... The main 4 Sailors had Sailor Moon, Uranus was always with Neptune and she was mainly alone... sometimes with Chibiusa but let us face it, she is a small lass and Pluto was a lady already. Pluto is not just a Sailor but also a goddess, the daughter of Chronos! Though she does not appear in many episodes she is the one that stole my heart - I wanted to grow up just like her! Is it a coincidence that I was born under the Scorpio sign or that I love the green color attribuited to her?!
In The Process Of Creating Sailor Pluto
God - through my mum, of course - gave me the gift of drawing/sketching. I did that since I was a wee lass and this is usually how I would relax. My mother would help me and teach me from time to time and when we had holidays and trips she used to buy me paper and pencils and we would both sit and draw and she would explain to me the perspective and the power that shades have upon a form... I am not a pro and I rather copy than create drawings/images but it makes me happy and takes my mind of things that worry me or burden me... 2011 was a very productive year for me... it was my beginning in the corporation I am still working in - the one that brought me to my husband ;) - and it was the time in which, I believe, I remember drawing/sketching the most... At first I did it in my lunch breaks, out of boredom or when I saw a nice subject or when I saw a new cartoon movie and wanted to see if I still have it... In time, my colleagues noticed and they wanted sketches as well. I am horrible when it comes to the human face so instead I draw them Disney Princesses or Sailor Moon characters and gave them away as presents. They were happy and I was occupied for a while ;)

**I did not mean this post as a show off, I just wanted to share with you my love over this beautiful character from the manga/anime - Sailor Pluto. I do not know if you ever watched/read it but I really recommend it, especially for wee lasses ;) It is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Hanna Montana or whatever is trendy right now for kids. And regarding my skills... no show off! I know people who are way better but I bumped into these old things and I just wanted to share ;) **

Yours truly,
A LadyBug In Love With Manga/Anime + Sailor Pluto

A Cold Wind From The North

Dear friends,

A cold wind was blowing from the north, and it made the trees rustle like living things.” ― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones. Last week, by this time, I was waking up and getting ready for work - even on my way there, walking. It was raining but not the normal type of rain, it was somewhat frosty and icicles began to form outside. When I arrived at work my umbrella was not wet from the rain but rather frozen - like the clothes you leave out to dry and you come out in the morning to find them stiff and unyielding... Later on, in the night, the frost transformed and from rain it switched to snow... We woke up in the early morning on the 22nd to find everything covered in a thick cover of fresh and clean white snow :)
22nd January 2014 - The First Real Snow Of This Winter! :)
I love snow since I was a wee lass - snowball fighting and making angels in the fresh snow was something that I always did :) So in the morning when I saw the white covers I immediately thought of that - of being a small child and playing around in the pure white snow, without any worries and cares in the world. Unfortunately I had to get my arse moving and get to work... But I loved loved loved that day! It was much more warmer - snow always helps, it brings the temperature up and gives a feeling of warmth - and much more nicer outside - let us be frank, with the trees empty and the rain in the previous days everything was muddy and the city looked very grim! - so the walk was very relaxing and refreshing. I came up to work and greeted everyone with "Merry Christmas!" - what can I say, I was a really happy bumblebee ;)))
And as George Martin predicted Winter Arrived! :) A Cold Wind came and overtook the city - and not just Krakow, if you check the news you will see other cities/countries affected. I love it and I am enjoying the snow - not enjoying the cold though :p I just hope that by the middle of February the weather would get better - warmer - so that while we will have our small holiday not huddled up in a thousand layers of clothing - more on that later on, right now it is a secret just between me/my husband and Dana :*
Let it snow, let it snow...
P.S. Sorry I did not get a chance to take better pictures of this lovely snowy Krakow - the weekend we were busy with guests and friends so no going out in the Main Square was possible, but maybe this weekend we shall give it a try ;) I am also sorry that it took me so long to post this post ;))) - It's not like the first snow was a week ago... -  I got busy with work and got sidetracked... + Sorry for the bad quality of the pics that were taken by my phone - except the last one, that was done by camera but with very bad settings and in a rush.

Yours truly,
The LadyBug that loves that Winter Arrived! :)

Grannies Are The Best!

Dear friends,

I shall let you in a little secret - that has already been stated in the title, who am I kidding, that is no secret! :p - and that is: Grannies are the best & I miss my Granny! I miss her and I love her very much so I thought I may write a bit on my blog over how awesome she is :) My Grandma is the perfect combination between parent, teacher and friend. It is said that a Grandma never runs out of hugs or cookies, well Buna - this is how I call my Granny - never run out of those ;) in a combination with kind words and great advices she got to our heart. And truly - from the bottom of my heart - I can say that there is no better place than my Grandparents place :) It always feels like home, it always feels right and I can ALWAYS get rest no matter how tired and stressed I am. It is like a breath of fresh air :)
Homemade "Papanasi"
I would sit here and talk endlessly of what an awesome Granny I have - and how much of her I see in me and how much I love, admire and respect her - but I am afraid you may get bored or think I am getting too sentimental. You may/may not remember when I wrote about my Granny's bday :) or when I told you a bit more about my childhood and why I am how I am or when I showed you the oldest picture I own - a picture of my Grandparents :) Right now I shall attempt the impossible and try to tell you a few or the things I love about my Granny:
  • My Granny and Grandpa raised me and my sister up until we went to 5th grade and took care of us like we were the most special human beings in this world. We are theirs princesses :) But that did not mean my Grandma was not fair and that she knew how to teach us right from wrong. She teached us how to behave when we are alone, how to behave when we are in company, how to behave at home and how to behave when at the theatre/movies and so on... each moment in time is special and different and one has to act accordingly.
  • My Granny was the most awesome teacher ever - she used to teach classes from 1st to 4th grade and EVERYONE!!! wanted to have their children taught my her. She was an exemplary teacher and because I was a pain in the arse and left kindergarden 1 year early as I thought there was nothing more the teacher there could teach me - and Granny and Mum agreed - I used to go to her classes. I could always feel and see the love and respect the children had for her. Even now she is contacted by them and they write and phone to her even if they are miles away - even from across the pond, from the USA! She is wise and she had developed along time a perfect way of teaching. She also did a lot of extracurricular activities that brought her a lot of prizes and she even went to Moscow because of that ;) What can I say, I am proud of my Granny!
  • My Granny is the most awesome cook in the world and I hope that one day I will be able to cook half as good as she does! She knows so many receipes by heart that she always amazes me. She loves to experiment and it is not a singular case when she just opens the fridge and looks around and creates a new dish that just makes your senses go wild. I don't know how she does it... she is just magical! Everyone who tasted her food praises her and want her receipe but noone manages to do it as good as she does ;) I believe that is because she ads a lot of love in it ;) My husband adores her cooking and his personal fav are the Romanian receipe of meatballs - we call them "parjoale" ;) He is able to eat by himself a whole huge bowl of those, without stoping ;))) When I was small I used to sit and watch her cook, ocasionally helping out and also learning how to setup the perfect table and being an adorable host ;) Through watching her I learned how to cook my awesome "ficatei cu mamaliga" (liver with onion and kinda italian polenta) and create my biscuit roulade ;) I did not try yet to do papanasi - you can check the picture above, that is how they are supposed to look like ;) - as it involves a frying pan and I am a bit terrified by those... but I shall try, one day! :)
  • My Granny is my best friend - she understands me and when I talk to her and look in her eyes I cannot ever lie to her. Her heart is the closest to my own that I ever know and I am happy to say that I am more like her than anyone else - that does also state that I am like my Mum, so don't get me starting on things like "Oh! But you love your Granny more than your Mum!" as that is not true. I love them both with all my heart but in different ways! She is my role model in life and I will always look up to my Granny as she made the best of herself and always tested her limits. I can talk her about anything and everything and I know that in the end I will learn always something new.
  • My Granny is a fighter and I am proud of her, every step she takes! She comes from a very big family with a lot of brothers and sisters - I still cannot cope with the number of aunts and uncles scattered around the world... - and she had to raise most of them, as she was one of the older ones. She managed to get from the town to the city and studied and became the greatest teacher the city had. She was and still is respected by everyone as she was kind and strict at the same time. She did not use the power she had and she was not corrupted and she did her best to be the best version of herself. She always wanted the best for my mum and the best for me and my sister. She helped my Grandpa in his work and she always supported him in what he did and always had dinners for his work/party collegues. Now my Grandpa is gone, he died a week before my civil wedding and she choose not to tell me so I would celebrate that day with all my heart. Althought I do not agree with her decision, I respect it and honor it and cherish it as she wanted to keep me safe, as she always did when I was a small child... She is a strong woman and even though she is far away from me I know that she can go on. I hope that my children will meet her and she will tell them stories about what a piece of work I was... Granny, please stay strong :* and always remember that I love you! And Pinocchio loves you too ;)
This post was made out of love for my awesome and lovable Granny who is back home with my Mum and my adorable sister. I miss them all a whole lot! and I really hope to see them very soon... maybe in March, so keep your fingers crossed for me, please :)

Yours truly,
The LadyBug that loves her Buna very-very-very much! :*

Be Comfortable In Your Own Skin

Dear friends,

I don't know what's up with me lately but I cannot pull myself into doing a normal post about what is up with me/my husband/us/the family... Each time I have to think of something connected to it, having a larger than life meaning. Same for today... I just wanted to share with you today a bit of my latest discovery: INGLOT Lipstick ;) To be extremely precise, the INGLOT Lipstick #44.
Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.
Gwyneth Paltrow
To get you more familiar with this adorable company I shall quote from their site ;)
"INGLOT Company was established over 30 years ago by Wojtek Inglot, a young chemist working at that time in R&D department in pharmaceutical company.
His principal objective was to produce high quality products at fair and reasonable prices, using only the best possible ingredients and raw materials from the most reputable suppliers.
All Inglot cosmetics are produced within the European Union and 95% of them are manufactured in our own state of the art production facilities.
We work with make-up artists and colour consultants to bring the latest trends in colour, texture and form to the market. Our unique Freedom System allows customers to experiment with countless shades and colour combinations of different face products, giving them the opportunity to create their own customized colour palette. We are present in over 450 retail locations worldwide."
I don't usually wear makeup or lipstick... I prefer to be myself and not have my face cracking under makeup. I prefer to be comfortable in my own skin. It took me 27 something years in order to feel in peace with myself and how I look - who am I kidding?! I am still struggling with that :p - so having something extra on it will not help. It will just probably make it worse... Plus it takes time and patience to draw straight lines and find the perfect combination according to each outfit you wear. Why bother?! Why actually try to look like someone I am not? My husband loves me for who I am and how I look everyday not how a picture of someone would look like. He was in love with me without makeup and as I do not wear it that often the first time he saw me done for a wedding he said I look older... I know that was supposed to be a compliment, but that showed me more that I should do this even less :p I agree with the adorable actress Gwyneth Paltrow when she said that beauty - for her - is about beining comfortable in your own skin ;) and I also agree with the fact that you need a kick-ass red lipstick :)
Ever since I was little I had a constant love-hate relationship with lipsticks. My mum always had one and I always wanted to wear it and even though my mum would let me have I was not able to keep it on for more than half an hour... I would eat it in the meanwhile... It was such an awkward sensation to have something moist and sweet and sticky on your lips... and having a different color... Totally mindblowing for a lass in first/second grade... But keeping it on was a whole issue! I really don't know how my sister picked it up so fast... by the end of 4th grade she could master makeup by herself - eyeshadow, lipstick, eyeliner, mascara... you name it! We both even tried blue lipstick :))) That was wild and I loved it but again... did not last long... For me it just feels odd and un-natural, for my sister is like an extension of her personality. And I respect that and love that and encourage that :)
My husbands first gift for me was a makeup set from INGLOT - I was surprised and I tried it and I must admit I found it very matching to my skin. My skin is very sensitive and becomes red at the slightest change or if something does not please it... Well this makeup was perfect - no red skin, no red eyes, no problem with the texture and no clogging when applying it! It was like Heaven! Since then I kept my eyes opend and when my sister came I immediately took her to the shop and even bought her presents from there a couple or 2 times ;))) And guess what, she is a fan - mission accomplished! and she was not the only one I turned to the dark side ;)
For a while now I really wanted a red lipstick for a change - I noticed that the pictures from the civil wedding where I wore red lipstick actually looked nice so I thought I would try that again... Now I would not like something to use on a daily basis but I would like something I could use from time to time, for a change. At first I was thinking of Russian Red from MAC. I may/may not be searching for a 80's look... But then I thought why not INGLOT!? And I went there, checked all red lipsticks and #44 was the lucky number :) The first time I wore it - this Monday, to work - I was dressed up as usually in dark blue jeans and black boots and black blouse, with my fav LadyBug earrings and brooche and I figured out... why not now?! When I got to work people were looking odd(ish) at me, until a friend of my went like "Wow, Anda! You look nice! Are you wearing makeup?!" :))) I laughed my arse off and said it was just lipstick and she would not believe it... See what a world of a difference a red lipstick can do!? I say you should try that as well, once in a while ;)
Adding sound to movies would be like putting lipstick on the Venus de Milo - Mary Pickford

**This review post was made out of love for INGLOT products that I have grown to cherish! I have not been payed to say/write this and all the opinions and stories from here are my own ;) **

Yours truly,
A LadyBug that is striving to be comfortable in her own skin :)

Odd Bits And Pieces

Dear friends,

Our life, even if we like it or not, even if we agree or we do not, is made out of odd bits and pieces put together by love and friendship and other honorable feelings that we have until those bits become a whole. When we come into the world we are a whole and then as time passes and we begin our learning curve we begin to break and lose bits and pieces of ourself. We pick them up and put them back with the help of other people but we never are the same. Once you are broken you will never be perfectly whole again - you will still see the cracks or if you will not see them you will still know they are there... Do those cracks make us wiser or are they just a simple reminder for us so we would take care not to get hurt again? And can you actually stop being hurt? I believe not... I mean unless you make your heart be out of stone and that is a choice that I - for one - am not willing to take! I prefer to feel all the range of the emotions and still have my heart clear and pure than feel nothing and have a black and soulless heart...
As the Bible says: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26) I don't pretend to know much of the matters of the heart but I know my heart and I know how I feel. I know my heart was broken by people I love and also by people I just met. I am vulnerable to comments and bad words/feedback and I try to work on this as this has been my weakness since I was small... My weakness and my strength at the same time, as I am pretty good at knowing people and what they can do - sometimes I fail, it is true, I am not perfect but I am doing my best with the given circumstances ;)
What helped me in time to understand and heal myself from a broken heart was the fact that I could not change people. It is as simple as that... You have the power in yourself to change yourself but you will never be able to change someone else! Unless they will want to change nothing will happen to them. To you, yes, you may become upset and get your heart broken in the process... which I do not recommend ;) Try not to focus on changing people - that never works out. Try to make yourself a better person and enjoy the small things in life. In that way you will start not to notice the cracks in your heart... you will still feel them, once in a while, when you will meet/talk/see the person who caused it but you will be stronger in time. And I will let you in another secret: Time heals wounds ;) give it some time and it will get better. You might not believe it at first but it will get better in time.
When I was with my adorable husband in Warsaw last Monday, we bumped into some odd bits and pieces as well :) For example he spotted this adorable LadyBug (in the picture above) - they were all around Warsaw, promotional teasers for a children movie about small little insects... the name escapes me but that is not the point :p the point is the fact that now we see LadyBugs everywhere ;))) and when he sees a LadyBug he needs to show me it and it is adorable for me, kinda like a recognition... that I am there :) and that is when we both start smiling and we forget about the Hell of the day that we had... the fact that it was bloody cold and we were freezing and we had to face bureaucracy... all that fades away... and we smile :)
Also we had a bit of fun with the pictures above, which were taken next to one of the Embassies next to the Romanian one. The sidewalk was painted for parking spots and it seems there was a problem and they had to take away the pavement and put it back. It looks perfect, like it was brand new, except the lines ;))) Just like our hearts... we put the odd bits and pieces together and we make the heart whole and it looks whole... like it was never broken, but you can still see the cracks...  In time they may heal but you will still feel them!

P.S. Dear hearts, please never break a heart! A heart will mend but it will never be the same again!

Yours truly,
Your LadyBug :*

Musical Friday: Ordinary Love

Dear friends,

I must make a confession in front of you all :) I grew up with this band, loving this band, this adorable Irish rock band from Dublin. I always wanted to see them live and hopefully I shall, one day! I love Bono's voice and I love hearing The Edge at the guitar and also his backing vocals... I even like Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen although I did not get caught up with them that much. I had moments in which I would listen only to U2 until I would get bored and then the next day I would come back ;))) Hey! They are Irish, how could I not love them!? I believe I first listened to the album Joshua Tree and that, my friends, was already their 5th album!!! I fell in love with "Where the streets have no name" and "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"... not to mention "With or Without You"... They already have 12 albums and they are on their way on pulling another one! Way to go, you Irish talented lads!!!
It's been four years since U2 released new material, so now that the veteran rockers are back with their sprawling single "Ordinary Love", fans are more excited than ever. The song may be just a feature off the soundtrack to the film Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, but new music from the Irish foursome means that an upcoming album could be on the way.
With the gorgeous chorus "We can't fall any further / If we can't feel ordinary love / We cannot reach any higher / If we can't deal with ordinary love" sung by frontman Bono, the new track has been backed with an equally stunning lyric video, featuring the words scrawled all over different moving scenes, almost stop-motion-like.

Ordinary Love - U2

The sea wants to kiss the golden shore
The sunlight warms your skin
All the beauty that's been lost before
Wants to find us again
I can't fight you anymore
It's you I'm fighting for
The sea throws rocks together
But time leaves us polished stones
We can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
We cannot reach any higher
If we can't deal with ordinary love
Birds fly high in the summer sky
And rest on the breeze
The same wind will take care of you and
We'll build our house in the trees
Your heart is on my sleeve
Did you put it there with a magic marker
For years I would believe
That the world couldn't wash it away
'Cause we can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
We cannot reach any higher
If we can't deal with ordinary love
Are we tough enough
For ordinary love
We can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
We cannot reach any higher
If we can't deal with ordinary love
We can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
We cannot reach any higher
If we can't deal with ordinary love

Hope you enjoyed this song as much as I did and if you never listened U2 than I would suggest it! Get your groove on and listen to these lads ASAP!

Yours truly,
An old U2 Fan - The LadyBug :)

Eat, Drink And Be Merry!

Dear friends,

I know that this is quite an odd title to begin with but hey! This is my number 300 post on this blog! I needed to celebrate this somehow so today I thought I might share with you some of my favourite posts until now. See?! That is how nice I am :) If you want you can read here my top 10 posts for the year 2013 but those are not the only posts I care about and wanna share with you so grab a cup of tea and a cookie and let us get munching ;)
And to end this post on the creative and drawing and fairytale side I would like to introduce you to a very lovely Tumblr page I bumped into by mistake: Madam Disney. She is the one who designed the picture captions above and I must admit I agree with them 50% (due to the fact that I never watched Frozen and for Winter & Spring she choose the main characters from this animation: Elsa & Anna). And I must agree that I was born in Autumn and I fit perfectly under Merida's style ;) Brave was one kick arse movie and it was the first movie in which the princess needed no prince to save her but got of scrapes by herself. She was truly stubborn - God! that is exactly how I am! - but also confident on herself. She knew that she wanted to do things her own way. First you try and then you learn ;) I liked her indeed as she was true to herself and she accepted nothing less than being treated with respect.

Now do tell me, how are you? When were you born and do you fit to the personality of one of these Disney Princesses? Or maybe of one we did not talk of here... Share with us what you think ;)

P.S. Thank you so much to everyone who believed and believe in me and for all of my blogger friends out there. You mean the world to me and reading you each day brightens me up :*

Yours truly,
A LadyBug that is happy and proud for reaching #300 :)

Time Is Priceless But It's Free

Dear friends,

**WARNING!!! This post contains a review of The Time Traveller's Wife and also some trivia regarding it. It will be an extensive post and it will have loads of pictures and text so please grab yourself a cup of tea, a warm blanket and a huge box of napkins! I mean it! Also this post contains spoilers so in case you did not see this movie - shame on you! - and you hate people who spoil things... well... you can pass this one. But you shouldn't ;) **
It’s hard being left behind. I wait for Henry, not knowing where he is, wondering if he’s okay. It’s hard to be the one who stays.
I keep myself busy. Time goes faster that way.
I go to sleep alone, and wake up alone. I take walks. I work until I’m tired. I watch the wind play with the trash that’s been under the snow all winter. Everything seems simple until you think about it. Why is love intensified by absence?
Long ago, men went to sea, and women waited for them, standing on the edge of the water, scanning the horizon for the tiny ship. Now I wait for Henry. He vanishes unwillingly, without warning. I wait for him. Each moment that I wait feels like a year, an eternity. Each moment is as slow and transparent as glass. Through each moment I can see infinite moments lined up, waiting. Why has he gone where I cannot follow?
Clare Abshire, PROLOGUE (The Time Traveler’s Wife, p. 1
I can't help it for falling for a good love story or a good romantic drama and this is what is The Time Traveller's Wife all about. Last year I went with Ewa to see the movie About Time and I loved it - maybe I shall even do a review on that one later on ;) She told me later on that this movie resembled somewhat to the movie The Time Traveller's Wife and I should watch it as I would cry my eyes out - I must point out at this point that the main female character is played by the same person, the lovely lady Rachel McAdams and the story is pretty much the same... I dully noted and said I will watch it. I did not manage to find the right time or the right mood until last Friday when I was all alone in the house - the perfect moment to unpack a fresh pack of napkins ;) I started watching it and bit by bit the story caught me. Henry DeTamble is the main character and he is the Time Traveller. You might immediately recognise him as the pretty australian Eric Bana who played as Henry Tudor in The Other Boleyn Girl or maybe even from Hulk... your choice ;) Henry's wife - named Clare Abshire - is played by the delightful Rachel McAdams - to name a few: About Time, Midnight in Paris, The Notebook and last but not least Sherlock Holmes (the one with the adorable Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law) where she played the most deadly and seductive Irene Adler I have ever layed my eyes upon!
Now Henry discovers about the age of 6 that he can involuntarly time travel. Now he is no Benjamin Button and growing backwards but he can go in time ahead and backwards - of course this will also mean that we will be seeing something that everyone would like to do if they ever would time travel. That is right ;) He playes the lotto and wins for Clare the house of their dreams with a huge garage so that she could continue her work - oh, I forgot to tell you, she is quite an artist ;) Henry works as a librarian in Chicago and there it is where they meet for the first time... The funny part is this is actually not the first time they meet as Henry can time travel so he starts "haunting" this small girl who falls in love with him: Clare. The continue to have regular meetings until they really meet at the age where both of them are equals - yet Clare knows him and he has no idea who she is... How odd is to know your future husband aged, around 40, and them meet him again when you are both around 20?! Oh... you are not as grown up as I thought you would be!... Odd... At first I thought that the main idea of him travelling back in time to her is the fact that she will die... I could not have been more further from the truth! Note to self: next time read the book! - yes, there is a book after which the movie was made ;) He travels in time to spend as much time he can with her as he will die... He will die when their daughter will turn 5... and guess what?! The daughter will inherit his genes and become a child prodigy and she will be able to choose when and where to go in time ;)
One of my personal fav parts in the movie is when Henry realises that Clare is the one he loves so he goes back in time to see his mother and after goes to his father to ask for his mothers engagement and wedding ring. Then he comes back home and Clare is sleeping, he kneels by the bed and takes the ring, puts it on her finger and kisses her hand. She wakes up and they have the cutest conversation ever ;))) It touched me as it was pretty much how my husband did it and somewhat like my reaction.
Henry DeTamble: I never wanted to have anything in my life that I couldn't stand losing. But it's too late for that. It's not because you're beautiful and smart. I don't feel alone anymore. Will you marry me?
Clare Abshire: No. I didn't mean that. I just wanted to try it, to say it, to assert my own sense of free will, but my free will wants you.
Henry DeTamble: So it's a yes?
Clare Abshire: Yes, of course.
I also love their daughter, Alba, who is a bit too much grown up... considering that at her 5th year birthday her 10 year old version of self is popping for a visit to tell her that Daddy will soon die... Well I dunno how you get past this kind of imformation, even if you are a prodigy child! Leaving that aside I do believe that Alba is very nicely played and she helps Henry in trusting the fact that Clare will not miscarriage again and that they truly have a chance to be happy - don't we all want that?! The good chemistry between Eric Bana dand Rachel McAdams really makes you believe in their connection and love and they make you laugh and cry your eyes out... So grab yourself some fresh Kleenex, sit down and relax and let yourself go in this lovely drama.
“Don't you think it's better to be extremely happy for a short while, even if you lose it, than to be just okay for your whole life?”
“Time is priceless, but it’s Free. You can't own it, you can use it. You can spend it. But you can't keep it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.”
Audrey Niffenegger, The Time Traveler's Wife

Yours truly,
A LadyBug that hopes that one day you will watch this movie :)

To Dub Or Not To Dub, This Is The Question!

Dear friends,

When I was a wee lass I used to watch Cartoon Network and that is how words got stuck to my head and how I started learning foreign languages. The cartoons were never dubbed and they were always the original, no subtitles, so we would try to understand and remember words we knew until we got to understand the big picture. I am both happy and proud that I lived in a time when Cartoon Network was not dubbed! I also used to watch the Italian channels and search mainly for Sailor Moon ;))) and that is how Italian language stuck into my brain. The human brain is a sponge when you are small. It is the best time to learn languages and accumulate knowledge. As soon as you will get older it will just get harder and harder!
I remember the culture clash I had when I came here in Poland. I had no problem when I came just for the vacation as I did not look deep into the problem back then but in time it revealed to me: DUBBING! Now I do not own a TV - and I do not see the need of it at this age when we have the Internet and everyone has his own laptop - but most of my friends do, and they also find it quite odd that I have none. Tell you the truth I never missed it... by the time I went to Faculty I gave up on it and spent my free time either reading or going out with my friends or volunteering. I would only watch TV while at my Grandparents or when something special would be on - like the New Year Concert from Vienna :) Coming to Poland I think I actually watched the TV only after I started dating my husband ;))) He had a small TV in the place he was renting and he was watching mainly sport or movies or news on it. But mainly sport, and to be more precise, one of his personal fav's: ski jumping. I know that at first I was shocked that everything was in Polish language and that everything was dubbed - including the comercials/ads. You could not hear anywhere any other language than Polish. Now you need to know that Polish people are proud people and very nationalistic. Most of them will understand English but they will refuse to speak it for shame of not being good at it. They will understand you nonetheless ;) I have many friends with which I am speaking in English and they reply in Polish - thank God I understand some Polish language now, but at the beginning it was quite a pain in the arse. But I realised that this is why they do not know or they are afraid of speaking in English. It is understandable but I wish there would be options in which you would just disable that... I miss watching movies in the real language and that is why we have no TV. It is easier and much more comfortable to buy or rent the movies in their own language and watch them with Polish subtitles - and in this way everyone is happy and I get to learn the language as well ;)
Going to the Cinema is one of my favourite things to do when I have the time and money for it :) I love cartoons and I love comics but unfortunately those fall under the category "For Children" and in Poland all those movies will be dubbed and there will be no option to see the original. I repeat: NO OPTION!!! I did not get to see Brave on the big screen, I had to wait for it to come in a DVD version :( Don't even get me started with me wanting to go and see Frozen! Everyone is in awe and I will not get to see it on the big screen! I will have to wait! - unless I wanna see the Polish dubbed version instead of hearing the lovely voice of Idina Menzel (love her ever since Rent hit the stage!)... which I do not! I still have on my list The Lorax (long live Dr. Seuss!!!). Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss In Boots were adorable but again I missed seeing them on the big screen... I dunno in how many countries dubbing happens like here in Poland but I really love the fact that in Romania we did not have this. We had the original. With Romanian subtitles, but the original movies with the original voices and the original soundtrack. Like it should be!... at least for me! :)

What do you think lads/lasses? What is your opinion on this? Are your movies dubbed as well? :)

Yours truly,
An Expat that does not agree with dubbing - A LadyBug that loves the original! :)
