Tread Softly Because You Tread On My Dreams

Dear friends,

Even though when I was small I could not get poetry at all, right now I can say that I tried hard to swallow it and I eventually managed to have some favs :) Here is one poem that I truly like - I heard about it in a movie, the movie was “Equilibrium” and it was great and maybe one day I will tell you about it. I hope you might take a shot and see it even before I will post the review ;) There are many ideas from the book by George Orwell – the literary and journalistic pseudonim of Eric Arthur Blair - listed in the movie.
He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven                 by  W. B. Yeats
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Yours truly,
The LadyBug
